Band information

Abrasion is a Melbourne three piece with its origins in 1996. Line-up changes were prevalent early but by 1999 with Toth from Dread and Summerton from Running With Scissors, the band was finally stable enough to record an EP featuring their self-styled "dick-crunchin' metal". That EP was never released; however, in mid-2002 a disc did appear featuring extremely impressive violent death metal with grind elements. The band toured with The Berzerker in 2003 and released a self-funded full length album in mid-2006. Abrasion continues a sporadic existence.
