Hobart's Randomorder plays no-frills metal. The band formed in 2007 and began live work with the addition of lead guitarist Rod M. During 2008 the band recorded an EP with [[Psycroptic]]'s '''Joe Haley''' but has since parted ways with Rod and is seeking a replacement.
Randomorder hails from Hobart, Tasmania and was formed in 2007 by Gabe Latham (guitars/vocals) Mathew Bicket (drums) and Justin Wilton (bass). Although influenced by many different styles, the band’s sound can be characterised as thrash metal. In 2008, after many months of song writing and rehearsing, Randomorder began playing live shows in Tasmania. The band then went into the studio to record a four track E.P, showcasing their best material to date.
By early 2009, new lead guitarist Sean Kelleher entered the band and they worked hard on writing new material. Some of these new songs were recorded and released as a self-titled demo in December, 2009. The demo has received positive feedback and has spurred the band on to write even stronger songs.
Randomorder also made their first trip to mainland Australia, headlining a gig in Wollongong, New South Wales at the end of 2009.
Keep an eye out for Randomorder’s debut album which will be recorded and released this year, followed up by more shows around Tasmania and the rest of Australia.
