Band Information

Striborg is the vehicle for obscure Tasmanian black metal/ambient artist Sin-Nanna, whose peculiar name is derived from ancient Sumerian mythology.

Like other acts such as Xasthur and Burzum which are stylistically similar, Striborg has issed an exhaustive body of work, most of the material of which has since been collected on subsequent official album releases. The earlier releases up to Nocturnal Emissions are collections of early demo material, including that of his previous project, Kathaarsia. Striborg's music is raw, coarse and extreme black metal with thin, buzzy guitars and tinny, programmed drums often overwhelmed by eerie keyboards and is virtually impenetrable to any but the most ardent fans of the genre.
