Band information
The Devil Rides Out is a hard-edged stoner rock and metal band from Perth. The group was formed in early 2006 by former HeadShot and iNFeCTeD vocalist Joe Kapiteyn and Andrew Ewing from Thumb. Ben Franz from The Waifs and ex-Downer drummer Uyen joined shortly afterward and the band played its first show on June 6, 2006. The group has recorded three EPs in lieu of an album and has so far released two of them, with the third due for release in the latter half of 2008. Franz left the band in early 2008 to honour his commitment to The Waifs and was replaced by Brendan Ewing.
