Band information
Advent Sorrow was a Perth-based symphonic black metal band. An EP was released in 2012 and the following year they appeared at Hammersonic in Indonesia. In October 2013 they supported Behemoth and then toured Japan with Marduk and Taake. Advent Sorrow opened for Watain in early 2014. Following the departure of founding member Tom Waterhouse, that year, Hrodrik Segovia joined on guitar and an album followed in 2015. Ming replaced Ben Hansen in 2016. After the release of the band's second album, Advent Sorrow split into two camps over allegations from Tom Langridge and Martin Donnelly about Rhys King's apparent neo-Nazism; King holds that the split was for other reasons.
