Band information
Dr Colossus is a Melbourne doom band whose entire lyrical content is drawn from the first six seasons of The Simpsons. The band was formed by Dr. Jon in 2011 as a solo project and on early recordings the band was a two piece of him and drummer Dr Johnston. Dr Love joined in 2016 and the next year the band's debut album was released. Late the next year, on November 22, 2017, Dr Johnston (Nathan Johnston) died.
Dr Leg (Jon's brother) and Dr Skin joined the band in 2018. In early 2020 Dr Colossus toured nationally with Okilly Dokilly. The band's 2021 album I'm A Stupid Moron With an Ugly Face and a Big Butt and My Butt Smells and I Like to Smell My Own Butt charted at #16 on the ARIA chart but the band's tour in support of it was hampered by COVID.
