Metal as Fuck is published by Brascoe Publishing, one of Australia's fastest moving, and most unique up-and-coming independent publishers. By working in the metal music industry, the publishers themselves forged strong ties with some key people who helped them to make this zine what you see today.

History and About

"Metal as Fuck" is an online metal zine and community, that launched on 13 March 2009. A global metal lifestyle zine, MaF aims to become one of the world's leading communities of metal fans - though it is published in Australia and retains dedicated space to the Australian metal scene. It is a zine dedicated to lovers of metal in all its incarnations, in all parts of the world, and is your primary destination for quality journalism and photography, exclusives you can't get anywhere else, and that inside view you never knew you wanted until you saw it at there. Within just three months, the site was gaining in excess of 200,000 hits per month.

This zine is gradually becoming home to a phenomenal body of metal content: news, reviews, interviews, photos, gig guides, venue lists, festival accounts. columns, and much much more. We have key contributors in strategic locations around the world, from Australia to Scandinavia, from Europe to the Americas and beyond, all of whom have their fingers on the pulse of everything metal. In the not-to-distant future we'll be adding podcasts, vodcasts and even more brilliant content to keep Metal as Fuck blasting along.

Soon enough, Metal as Fuck will be your only logical place to go for metal online.

As well as contributed content, Metal as Fuck is also home to consumer-generated content through forums, photos, chatrooms, rating and personal profiles - with special tools to link to friends, industry bodies, and music fans across the world. And they're all united by one bond: their love for metal.

We are unique in that we support the music industry from the ground up, providing a legitimate space for bands to promote themselves and their music, and build their own networks. But unlike every other zine out there, promoters, publicists, labels and other industry bodies are also given the opportunities to grab their own space, to post news that is circulated through the site immediately, and to get back in touch with the punters - wherever those punters happen to be.
